By partnering with local child care providers and operating Family and Nutrition Hubs across Merced County, they ensure food reaches homes with dignity and care.

FaN Hubs are a pantry located at child care facilities serving young children and their families. FaN Hubs were launched in 2021 with support from Merced County First 5 Commission because child care providers were finding too many children lacking access to fresh fruits and vegetables. FaN Hubs provide food directly to families with young children, in the same spaces where they already gather and receive care. This model helps us meet families where they are and create another pathway for food to reach homes with dignity and care.
