Every day, in communities worldwide, tons of fresh food go unsold or unused, ending up in landfills as waste. It’s perfectly edible and good. California is leading the nation
Do you have food you do not need? Do you need food for your family? We can help.

Food Para Todos is a food recovery and community redistribution initiative serving Merced County. We rescue fresh, edible food that would otherwise go to waste and move it quickly into trusted community spaces.
One of our greatest strengths is our deep connection to the local community. We understand the neighborhoods, partners, organizations, schools, churches, and community spaces that help make food recovery work. By building strong, trusted, and lasting partnerships, we are able to quickly identify where food can go, who can help distribute it, and how to move it efficiently to the people and places that need it most.
As Food Para Todos continues to grow, we are actively moving toward becoming an independent 501(c)(3) organization. While we remain supported through Community Initiatives for Collective Impact at this time, our long-term goal is to establish Food Para Todos as its own nonprofit organization dedicated to food recovery, food access, and community resilience.
Our mission is simple:
“Redirecting fresh food to people, not landfills.”

Food Para Todos is a Food Recovery Organization. We collect edible food from Food Generators (grocery stores, restaurants, farmers) that would otherwise go to waste and redistribute it to feed people in need.
“If you have come here to help me, then you are wasting your time. But, if you have come here because your liberation is tied to mine, then let us work together.”
